WHITESBURG, Ky. — The prosecution and defense have proposed sharply different locations for the trial of former Letcher County Sheriff Shawn Mickey Stines, after a judge ruled the case must be moved from Letcher County. Stines is charged in the shooting death of Letcher County District Judge Kevin Mullins inside the Letcher County Courthouse in September 2024. WILLIAMSON, Ky. — Two Ohio men were arrested for meth trafficking, after they were pulled over in Pike County. Delbert Lee Chambers, 42, of Akron, Ohio, and Terrell Quintaz Wright, 45, of Massillon, Ohio, were pulled over by Kentucky State Police when they were clocked doing 5 miles over the speed limit on U.S. 119 at South Williamson. Their car was searched after offers smelled marijuana smoke during the traffic stop, which resulted in the discovery of a small amount of marijuana in the console, but a quarter-pound of meth in the glove compartment.
