NEW YORK — Addiction Recovery Care and its former CEO, Tim Robinson, have agreed to a nearly $4 million judgment in a New York federal lawsuit brought by lender Clear Cove Opportunities Fund I. Under a proposed stipulated judgment filed with the court, ARC and Robinson consent to a judgment for breach of contract totaling $3.94 million. The amount includes more than $3.3 million tied to an Employee Retention Credit refund, interest on those funds and additional default interest. SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — Malcolm J. Barry III, 63, of the Long Branch community near Salyersville, was killed Monday, when a mobile home he was working under fell on him. According to Chief & Special Investigator Tim Clark with the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office, Barry was one of four people working just before 3 p.m. on setting up the mobile home in the Calvin Cane mobile home park at Burning Fork. Former Kentucky House Democratic Leader Rocky Adkins has announced he is running for governor, becoming the second prominent Democrat to enter the 2027 race to succeed term-limited Beshear. PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A court filing sheds new light on a 2019 murder case that is set to go before a jury next month. Wesley Glenn Martin, 51, is charged with the February 2019 murder of 26-year-old Jordan Tackett, whose body was found buried in the front yard of Martin’s Wayland home. On Monday, prosecutors filed a notice that they intend to introduce evidence of Martin’s past behavior which they say demonstrates his opportunity, intent, preparation and planning for the murder.
